As a result of personal experience, the owners of Deckchair Care understand how important it is to have reliable feedback and trustworthy Carers, who are not only able to deliver the services required, but who are also able to do so with dignity, respect and with a true understanding of the person to be cared for.
Deckchair Care aim to recruit only the best; care assistants who Deckchair Care would want to look after their own loved ones. Every Carer undergoes a full training and induction course designed to meet the National Standards for Domiciliary Care. In return, we will offer our Carers a fixed contract with the best rates of pay – because we understand how important their role is and what an impact they can have each and every day.
In addition, Deckchair Care have a strong management team who co-ordinate, support, guide and assess the Carers, whilst taking onboard their feedback – it’s very much a team effort!
All staff providing care services are qualified and DBS checked.
Charlotte Clawley and Debs Wilkinson are co-founders of Deckchair Care Limited. Seeing the limitations of care in our communities, they started with an idea of how they would like a home care company to work; putting themselves into the “shoes” of the client; researching the industry; pairing this with their skills and expertise….Deckchair Care was the result!
Both Debs and Charlotte are enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference and delivering against Deckchair Care’s mission statement of “enriching” peoples’ life experience. This passion to deliver a high standard of care is at the heart of everything they do at deckchair Care.
They have been friends for several years and have both experienced, first-hand, the challenges that distance care-planning can bring. Having parents and grandparents living afar – and having to deal with all aspects of their care – Charlotte and Debs were inspired to deliver a care service that provides both visibility and reassurance to family members that their loved ones are being well-cared for.
The primary objectives of Deckchair Care are simple:
Charlotte has many years’ experience in care. Primarily working for the NHS, both as a nurse and midwife. In addition to this, Charlotte also has extensive experience of individuals with various special/additional needs.
Debs’ career began in marketing and business management, but following personal experience in caring for a loved one Debs had a change of career path becoming a homecare assistant and her career developed from there.
